We are seeking a Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract beginning December 1, 2026. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide occupational therapy services that support patients in improving their independence, mobility, daily living skills, and overall quality of life.
This position offers a 40-hour work week and is suited to a qualified, travel-certified COTA who is comfortable working in a new healthcare environment and providing patient-focused care.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients in developing and improving skills required for activities of daily living.
Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established therapy goals.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, mobility, and coordination.
Monitor and document patient progress throughout the course of treatment.
Communicate patient progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist and appropriate healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and caregivers on appropriate therapeutic techniques and activities.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Follow established safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain professional standards and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) .
Eligible to practice in the applicable state.
Current professional credentials and required certifications.
Previous clinical experience preferred.
Ability to commit to the full 13-week travel contract .
Ability to work 40 hours per week .
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while following the direction of a supervising Occupational Therapist.
Must meet all applicable compliance and onboarding requirements prior to the start date.
